Pathway to CMM

Tony Browne CMM, Chairman of the GMI: “The Certified Marina Manager accreditation employs a rigorous set of criteria and a robust application process that ensures candidates have met the high standards required. This results in a very credible accreditation which is immediately recognisable across the industry, providing enhanced employment and career progression opportunities.

“The IMM and AMM courses as a lead up to the CMM application not only deliver a fundamental global overview of marina management best practice, but also open the door to invaluable peer to peer networking opportunities.

“I would strongly encourage anyone looking at furthering their career to start the process by reading the relevant material and enrolling in an IMM course.”

Benefits of the CMM career path

A few years after completing my IMM and AMM I achieved my Certified Marina Manager which was a great accomplishment and allowed me to position myself in my chosen career industry. The IMM and AMM courses offer a great 360 degree perspective into the foundations for a safe, environment friendly and financially rewarding marina operation.

One of the best points of these courses are the networking benefits and the strong working relationships with other marina operators. The rigorous application process for the CMM allows your proven achievements to be on display and opens them up to criticism or merit depending on your level.

The CMM ensures a very high standard across the board and allows employers and owners of marinas an element of security when sourcing the correct people to operate their marinas.
